Nusa Lembongan is one of the islands you can reach easily from Bali

Bali is the perfect island for solo female trips

Although I went there with my husband, this is the type of trip you could do alone without worried too much, due to there are many female travelers travelling alone, and the Balinese culture is familiar with them. Bali remembered me to Benidorm in Alicante, Spain, where many English people go for holidays. Instead, Bali seems the Australian capital for holidays, and we spent one of our best New Year arrival there, surrounded from nice and funny Australian people in Sanur, a small city in Bali.

Let begin from the beginning. You will arrive to Bali from Denpasar, the capital of the island. It is closer we stayed our first night, in Kuta, a famous place for parties and sunset nights. However, we went to another authentic area, where a nice hotel, the Pondok Sari Kuta, which cost to us around $20 per night, 2 people plus breakfast. That area, doesn’t have too much to do. However, you will find how the Balinese people live, and cheaper and local restaurants. The Pondok Sari Kuta, is a really nice hotel to rest. The swimming pool is fantastic.

UBUD is the essence in Bali island…

Nevertheless, there is any so authentic and completely amazing as spending some time in Ubud, the real Bali essence. There, you can rent a bike or a motorbike, and be lost from the surrenders, where the rice fields invade the nature and the landscapes are unique. Also, Ubud permits to learn how to cook Balinese meals, or practice meditation or yoga, some of the most demand pleasure in Ubud. If you want to visit some places, the Monk Sanctuary, in the city center, where monkeys are the main attraction for tourists. However, we delighted the jungle environment and the old trees more than these animals, that are waiting tourists to get food.

Miguel Blanco museum in Ubud

If you want to visit a museum, the Miguel Blanco museum is quite interesting as well. Although the most interesting inside Ubud, are the people and the streets, full of people and traffic, chaotic, but curious, because it is possible to scape of the noisy streets as soon as you penetrate into a house.

Another attraction in Bali, enjoying a good and relax massage, is quite comment in Ubud. In fact, we tested the normal and relax massage, and another more related in magical curations and results. In any case, I must admit, it was a funny massage, and I will return if we go there again.

This is a small report about what we saw in Bali. Don’t care too much. Just go to see by yourself. Also, it is cheaper and more effective if you rent your car and dairy trips there. There are many places to organize your days in Ubud, and prices and 1/3 the value in your country, unless you book before you go. It’s up to you…
